After several years of the same in-restaurant experience, Olive Garden was looking to update their menu system to align with their newly launched, modernized rebrand. The previous old world, Tuscan design needed a refresh.
The reimagined system included three distinct table-top elements. First, to catch the eye was a table-top menu that featured new, seasonal and noteworthy dishes and desserts. Second, a food and wine pairing menu coupled featured dishes with suggested drinks. Third, a simplified beverage book offered guests appetizers, drinks and dessert.
Refreshed seasonally, the updated menu system showcased fresh, seasonal ingredients and design elements. Our creative team directed a new style of food photography, focused on big, craveable dishes showcasing abundance, warmth, and appetite appeal. The new and improved menus brought to life Olive Garden’s signature comfort food feeling.
The updated look and feel extended across the full guest journey, from pre visit touchpoints like print and web advertising to in-restaurant moments in the lobby and at the table. The rebrand even continued post visit with gift cards and follow-up emails, creating a seamless, appetite driving experience.
